Zhang Fei is a Support/Tank hero in Honor of Kings.

Background[]

This strong man in armor with the flowing hair and resolute look on his face is Zhang Fei, one of the great mechcraft masters of Shu. However, from a young age, he had to endure the curses of his relatives and the disgust of his neighbors-all because of the Ferali blood that runs through his veins. In the end, this fact would even destroy his family. Having lost everything, he imprisoned himself in the depths of a dungeon to work as a mechcraft master, but the person who provided shelter was actually the culprit of it all.

Zhang Fei was born to a family of Human-Ferali hybrids. The family hid their secret for many years, living normal lives as machinists in human settlements.

But five years ago, their friends and neighbors learned of their Ferali blood. A crazed mob wielding stones and farm tools chased them into the center of town. This was the age of humans, and there was no room to coexist with feralis or their ilk.

Their workshop was up in flames behind them as their loved ones fell one after another before them. The blood in their bodies began to boil as their chains rattled and their limbs transformed. Muscles straining against their clothing, their self-restraint finally shattered. Howling like beasts with blood-red eyes, they prepared to devour the crowd.

Suddenly, the crowd parted to reveal Senior Officer Du You of the city of Yi.

The machinist thought frantically, "By the light of day, he had nothing but praise for my machines. Has he now come to execute me?"

But Du You calmed the crowd and brought the dying craftsman to his home. The next five years sped by.

The machinist hid away in his benefactor's mansion, plying his craft in exchange for a safe place to stay. He toiled night and day throughout his self-imprisonment. Only while tinkering and tuning, it seemed, could he suppress the rage that threatened to consume him—and everything around him.

One day, Zhang Fei was tinkering with a strange, ancient-looking iron box that Du You had handed him. The box would not open, but the work was another welcome distraction from the dark thoughts that plagued him. That is, until the box emitted a short, crisp sound and suddenly a wave of understanding washed over him...

Du You's sudden appearance, the gift of machinery, the destruction of his family, his self-imprisonment—and the burning workshop, the missing Heavenly Scrolls... All the pieces were coming together.

It had all been so ingeniously planned! Ruin the machinist's life, then trick him into giving up the secret of the scrolls. It had been his "benefactor" behind it all along. After all, what monster was more fearsome than human greed?

Later on, Du You was wiping down the iron box under the dusky lamplight. After years of keeping his monster, he had found no way to access the Heavenly Scrolls. The secrets of the ancients were close enough to touch, yet they remained stubbornly inaccessible. How frustrating!

A breeze blew past, and something rolled to Du You's feet. He bent down to look.

It was a skull. The guard's skull...

"Of course... My beast, which no chains could hold and no kindness could tame." Du You heaved a sigh, seemingly resigned to what was coming next.

The machinist's body grew, casting a long and terrifying shadow. The plot would end here, with this spear.

The spear rose, and blood fell.

"Ferocity is an admirable trait!"

Type: Passive

Human Form: Hits from Basic Attacks and skills grant madness. Ferali Form: Casting the skill reduces the Movement Speed of enemies in range.

Forbidden Domain

Type: Active skill

Deals damage to enemies in range. Knocks back enemy heroes.

Leaping Savior

Type: Active skill

Jumps to the target location, granting a shield to nearby teammates. Gains extra Madness for every teammate he shields.

Unbridled Outburst

Type: Ultimate

Roars and transforms, gaining brief Invincibility, then a shield. The roar forms a gust of wind that damages, knocks back, and stuns enemies. While inside the wind, Zhang Fei gains increased Movement Speed

Dark Potential

Mad Slaughter

Deals damage to targets ahead.
