Xiao Qiao is more than willing to give it her all, whether that be for love or sorcery. Born into the famous Qiao clan of Anomalics in Jiang. Xiao Qiao was extremely talented, and she was a natural at controlling the power of wind. The winds of love brought the perfect partner into her life, and her love story with Zhou Yu has lasted to this day.

A pair of twin daughters were born to the Qiao family, a sorcerer clan of Eastbank, Jiang. But to the Qiaos, twins were seen as a bad omen, so the younger of the two was sent to be raised in Jixia. There, she grew up cheerful and carefree, perhaps because her clan had no power to control her. That girl was Xiao Qiao.

Having grown into a young woman, Xiao Qiao was brought back home. Long accustomed to being free and unrestrained, Xiao Qiao was different from those around her: compassionate, unrealistically optimistic, and perhaps naive. But what made her even more different was the powerful magic she possessed—and this made others fear her. Xiao Qiao could use sophisticated sorcery with ease. It was a natural talent in her blood, requiring neither guidance nor practice. Her clan was frightened by this power and decided to send her to live out her remaining days in a village near the sea.

Not long after, a strange illness began to spread along the coast. Blockaded within the village and terrified of the inexplicable disease, the citizens attacked the soldiers stationed there, and the scene descended into chaos. The one who received orders to quell this commotion was none other than Zhou Yu.

Keenly perceptive, Xiao Qiao realized that the movement of air was a factor in the spread of the illness, so she tried to use the power of wind to drive away the infected air that was making people sick. Seeing Xiao Qiao calmly casting spells amidst the panic, Zhou Yu misunderstood her magic as the malignant cause of the crisis and took her into custody as a suspect.

Their first encounter took place in a dilapidated dungeon, in which Xiao Qiao stubbornly did her best to persuade the handsome officer. It took a full night of questioning for Zhou Yu to come to believe Xiao Qiao's airborne contagion theory, while Xiao Qiao had fallen head-over-heels in love with the man at first sight... The cooperation between the two saved many lives, while in the process, Zhou Yu learned of certain rumors about the Blood Clan and was alerted to a hidden crisis on the sea hundreds of miles away... When the illness finally subsided after a few months and Zhou Yu decided to return to Jiang, he found himself unable to leave Xiao Qiao there all alone. In his life, which was so burdened with responsibility, Xiao Qiao was like a glittering star that lit up the gloomy seas of his heart.

The entire world knows that Zhou Yu, the Ironwilled, is hard-nosed and firm-willed. No one can shake him. But within his rigid and rigorous soldierly life, Xiao Qiao is the only accident that ever slipped through the cracks. "Love and war both require bravery."
