Background[]

As the son of Liu Bei and the disciple of Kongming, Liu Shan is a man of many titles. To prove his skills, Liu Shan has been causing trouble from an early age. When war came to the streets of Yi, he abandoned his plans to conquer Jixia and joined a war the likes of which had never been seen. Liu Shan piloted his Panda Mecha One onto the battlefield, and the steampunk savant's unstoppable destructive power was impossible to ignore. In his case, the student has truly outdone the master.

The ancient city of Yi used to be one of the most prosperous cities when it came to machinery. Under Liu Bei's instruction, Kongming drafted a series of measures that made the city a great hub for scholars, with a thriving research scene. New machinery inventions are still produced here to this very day.

It's hard being a genius, but it's even harder when your mentor is also a genius. From birth, the biggest worry in the life of Liu Shan, the young lord of the Shu kingdom, was how to prove himself not only as the successor of his father, Liu Bei, and his mentor, Kongming, but also better than both of them.

When he was seven, Liu Shan crashed his infamous wooden ox cart into three houses and one pigsty, which proved that making deadly vehicular weapons was possible. From then on, Liu Shan's reputation as a genius began to spread in Yi.

When he was eight, he made his debut on the battlefield. As a backup driver, he dumped bales of grain in the river during the dry season, creating a shortcut for the troops and making an unexpected contribution to their final victory.

When he was ten, he was no longer satisfied with just being a driver, so he started designing a brand-new destructive vehicle. It was both powerful and eye-catching, with its panda-shaped design. It even had a special seat that adjusted to the driver's height. The vehicle was the talk of the town for a time. And obviously, the houses, farmland, and forests destroyed in Liu Shan's many test runs were all compensated for by his father Liu Bei and his mentor Kongming.

By the time he was twelve years old, he had extensively upgraded his vehicle and named it "M-1". He was ready to give it a thorough testing, so the little genius made the most important decision of his life: to run away from home!

Liu Shan was determined to challenge the best at machinery and sorcery on the continent: The Three Sages of Jixia.

However, his ambitious plans were brought to an abrupt end before he could see them through.

Due to an alliance between Xu Fu and Cao Cao, the Three Kingdoms became embroiled in war, and the Battle of Red Cliffs was set to begin at any time. Liu Shan realized that, as a genius, just being someone's successor was too small of a dream. He decided that he should make use of his mechanical genius in this unprecedented war.

"The whole world will bow to the power of my genius!" Liu Shan declared confidently. This could be his chance to show everyone his true genius.

"Sit tight! M-1 is now in rampage mode!"
