Grandmaster[]

Upon reaching Grandmaster, you have already proven and shown a certain degree of competency and proficiency in the game. An average person would have taken around 200-300 games or so from masters to advanced into this tier, while those who are exceptionalists would perhaps take only 40-100 games or so. However, the number of games taken to reach the rank may not necessary determine your competency since it also depends on various factors such as teammates and opponents.

Hence, to all Grandmasters out there, Congratulations! You have made headlines out there for being the Top 7% of the Honor of Kings's population!

Grandmaster Hacks on Gameplay[]

  1. Sage-Destiny Combo
  2. Place left hand's index finger on minimap to gain better vision control of minimap/drag map such that your left thumb is still able to move cursor and right fingers able to use skills. (Harder mechanically, especially for higher-skilled heroes).
  3. Change basic boots for high mobility heroes frequently if situations needs them.
  4. Magic equipment such as the Scepter of Reverberation (high stacked magical attacks), Savant's Wrath (High stacked magical attacks), Mask of Agony (Excellent on Princess Frost, Angela, mage heroes with DoT skills) Twilight Stream (Cooldown reduction), and Void Staff (Magical Attacks) are particularly useful for heroes of the Mage and Support classes.
  5. Frequently check the KDA/information lists of opponent and your team to have a good gauge of level differences and gold differences, as well as the items they purchased as it may catch you off guard if you don't when facing against the opponent or with your team.
  6. Roamers can accompany mid-laners after the game starts for a huge hand-full of benefits. First, it is important to note that Roamers should rotate to farm-lane after the first clear of minions, and while mages are busy clearing, it is ideal for you to gain vision of enemies' blue buff especially if your jungler is on his/her blue buff, due to the fact that if there is no sign of the opponent jungler on blue buff, it is either your opponent jungler is on his red buff or invading your jungle's red buff, or an exception that he is trolling by farming his lesser creeps before his buffs since clearing buffs first would give him stats that reduces farming durations. If the opponent jungler on the other hand is on his blue buff, your mage could afford a sneaky invade on his red buff, but be careful of the opponent's mage and fighter/tank! So, it is actually kind of advantageous to have a roamer gaining visions of enemy's blue buff, but it also takes cooperative effort from your mage. After all the checking and fun, return to farm-lane! There is more gold and experience there! And your marksman needs your help...
  7. The common skill Smite is ideally used by junglers to decrease farming duration. It can be upgraded to deal damage to opponent too by the purchase of hunting knife. Creeps and Buffs regains HP and return to their original positions after left unattended for a while. Smite is able to stun them for a while and leave them at the spot without returning back to their original position as you attend back to them again. This may be important as buffs take long time to be slain for certain junglers and invasions of the enemy may unfold these kind of situations, where you have to leave your buffs to chase them away.
  8. Remember to take Red buffs if you are marksman! But of course do not take it on your jungler's first or second rotation. They need it more in early game than you!
  9. Always be mindful and take note of opponent's crucial skills and skill cooldowns. It will help a lot especially if the opponent's skill activates a CC lock chain such as Angela. Hence take note of her second stun skill! If you are an assasin, you would want to wait for her to finish using her second skill before diving in when she is vulnerable.
  10. Always be well-informed on opponent's passives. These passives may not seem such a big deal, but it plays huge disadvantage against you in specific situations such as Lam's passive: Hunter, Zhuangzi's CC immune passive or even Consort Yu's stacked basics time rotations. Take note of these important passives' cooldowns and you will be fine!
