The king and queen perished defending their city, and the royal family fled, leaving the city to the invaders. The Iron Riders built Dunefort on the ruins of the Golden City, a constant reminder of their conquest.
Gao Changgong, heir to the throne, witnessed the fall of his city and the deaths of his parents. This tragedy fueled a deep-seated hatred within him, driving him to seek revenge against Dunefort and the Great Wall, the symbol of the eastern empire.
