Gao is a Mage hero in Honor of Kings.

Background[]

Originally a talented bard with a burning passion for music, Gao embarked on a new journey to find his purpose in life. When he chanced upon the Battle of Changping, the savage and bloodthirsty monsters shook the bard to his core. From that moment on, ending the war became more important than music. In order to end the war, he formed an anti-Yong alliance. By chance, he also saved Arke, an assassin who had been injured and knocked unconscious. While he heals her wounds with music, she holds nothing back in serving his cause with her sword.

When asked about the most legendary musician on the continent, people always bring up Gao.

A talented musician, he had the world enamored with his astonishing skills and wild personality from his first public performance—especially the girls. At the height of his fame, he would hold banquets every night, spending the inordinate amounts of the money he was easily earning and surrounding himself with beautiful people.

However, this life of debauchery was unable to bring Gao long-term happiness, and over time he began to feel a terrible emptiness in his heart. When wealth and status come too easily, there's no regret in giving them up. And so just as fast as it appeared, the name "Gao" faded from people's minds.

Gao carried his beloved lute on his back and traveled across the continent. He went to the seaside and listened to the sound of the waves, he climbed up mountains and listened to the melody of the wind in the trees, and these experiences took his music to the next level. He can manipulate every string and every note to his heart's desire, and not only is he able to please people with his music, but he can also play deadly tones that seriously wound his enemies.

One day during his travels, Gao found himself on a battlefield. As he hid and waited for the battle to end, he witnessed a scene that would go on to change his fate. A never-before-seen monster appeared in the Yong Army, claiming hundreds of lives. This was Bai Qi, also known as the "ultimate weapon."

In a moment of complete shock, Gao realized he had found a higher calling, one that surpassed even music: stopping war.

After leaving the battlefield, he started contacting people who had the same goal, and in the process ended up meeting a prince. He attended one of the prince's banquets, serving as a musician. It just so happened to be the same banquet where a female assassin came to kill the prince, but she was seriously injured and fell into a coma.

Gao rescued the assassin and hatched a bold plan. He would heal her with his beautiful music and then use her to achieve his aim of ending war.

Six months later, just as he had planned, the girl was on her way to assassinate the Sovereign of Yong. The Yong Army tried to stop her, but she defeated them.

However, when Gao saw the assassin covered in scars, he was suddenly filled with remorse.

The plan to stop the war failed, and both Gao and the assassin disappeared. The wandering musician and the girl, whose name had changed, embarked on a new journey together.

They didn't give up fighting, but from that point on, they would only fight for each other.

Launches musical notes that bounce between enemies, dealing damage.

Damages and slows enemies within range. Hits on heroes restore Health, and he gains damage reduction during the dash.

Type: Ultimate

Gains Movement Speed and damage reduction while dealing continuous damage to enemies within range.
