Honor of Kings Wiki

Dyadia is a Support hero in Honor of Kings.

Background[]

The crafty and wily Dyadia is the most popular priestess in the Misty Marshes. The forest's inhabitants see her as a mysterious and powerful being capable of predicting any couple's future with a single glance. She has never predicted a relationship that didn't come to pass. When people aren't paying attention, however, Dyadia burns the candle on both ends, collecting information, observing her subjects, drafting her fortunes, and even setting up "chance" encounters... All because she firmly believes that deep down, everyone desires a meaningful connection. Rumor has it that Dyadia's professionalism stems from a missed opportunity in her own past, but when asked directly if these rumors are true, she'll simply flash her signature smile. "What do you think?"

Lore[]

In the eyes of the Misty Marshes' forest dwellers, Dyadia is a shrewd and mysterious mystic. Little do they know that she was also once prophesied to be alone, unable to form bonds with anyone.

When she was born, a prophecy stated that she was a bringer of misfortune, destined to be alone. Wherever the lonely girl wandered, she would be met with scornful gazes. Over time, her zeal faded into despair, and she closed herself off from everyone else. Things only changed when the jovial Qi saved her and brought her to the Forest Temple, providing her with companionship and giving her a name of her own. Unfortunately, the Wilting left her home in ruins and her companion dead, and Dyadia was forced to move on, carrying the promise they once shared.

Today, she's the most popular mystic in the whole of Misty Marshes. Her ability to observe how the Flow affects people's bonds borders on the divine. Her predictions never miss, and can even serve as catalysts to bring people together. However, unbeknownst to the public, Dyadia does not trust the Flow to provide all the answers. In fact, to a great degree, she relies on her own observations of her subjects' hearts. The Mansion of Fate is almost always busy collecting information, observing their clients' desires and intentions, crafting predictions, and arranging encounters. Dyadia realized early on that relationships are made possible not because of a higher power, but rather due to people's own desires.

In the dead of the night, Dyadia continues to pen down her predictions for tomorrow's seekers of fates.

Unbeknownst to her, her own fortune has been penned down: "The Marsh of Amnesia keeps memories suspended. A broken bond may yet be mended."

Binding Fates Within the Mansion of Fate[]

"We can't bring this bond to fruition!"

Cerise's resolute refusal resounded through the room before Dyadia could contemplate her strategy, all while the fortune seeker at the other side of the curtain narrated her tale between sobs and wails.

She immediately got Cyan to cover Cerise's mouth before hastily wrapping both wisps with the curtain.

This line had never been uttered within the Mansion of Fate.

Ever since the new apprentice mystic reestablished the Mansion of Fate on a withered plain within the Tapestry Forest, multitudes of people had been flooding in for a reading.

Whether it was arranging a meeting for a couple secretly in love, mediating and resolving a family dispute, or even getting back at a bully, the Mansion was able to handle a wide range of tasks. It was just as the vigorously scribbled couplets framing the Mansion's door promised.

The right one read, "We will listen to any concern," and the left one, "We care about every sort of bond." Plastered across the top of the door frame were the words, "Satisfaction Guaranteed."

Thus, everyone in the area, from the smallest leaf sprite to the greatest tree sprite knew that there was no bond that the Mansion of Fate could not establish.

Unless...

Unless the bond involved creatures under the jurisdiction of the High Priest of the Seers, Augran.

In other words, souls, or evil spirits were about to be hunted down by Augran himself.

Behind the curtain, the blue wisp quietly presented Dyadia with a possibility analysis report. The front page read, "Probability of successfully stealing gigs from our superiors: close to 0%. Probability of getting fired: 99.99%"

Despite having its mouth covered, the red wisp pantomimed four different characters with gusto: a merciless Augran brandishing his dagger-axe, a tragic Dyadia losing her hard-earned job, and both wisps resigned to living on the streets while keeping their little family from falling apart further...

Dyadia remained uncharacteristically silent.

Instead of her usual established mysteriousness and impish guile, her eyes conveyed a calm demeanor, with a hint of longing, or even regret.

She knew that the two belonged to different realms, and that any kind of bond between them would be completely severed. Putting aside the fact that she wouldn't even stand a chance against Augran in a fight, her intervening would mean that the High Priest would find her guilty of flouting the commandments of the Order of the Seers, using her insights into people's hearts instead of the Flow to observe "predestined" fates. The promise that she had worked so hard to keep would then be for naught. Not to mention, there was a chance that the evil spirit had already lost all sense of rationality...

There were a million reasons to reject the girl's request, and only one to accept it.

Dyadia had heard the girl's desire. A simple and straightforward wish.

"I just want to say goodbye."

"If we can't bring this bond to fruition, then no one can!"

Dyadia's voice emerged from behind the curtain with her usual determination and cheerfulness... and just a tiny hint of reservation.

"Your fortune reads: Ask for a time of return and the time will come. Ways that have parted will converge once more."

"There's no need to thank me. However, if you happen to see Yaria on your way back, do pass along a message for me."

Not long after, Yaria scurried into the Mansion.

"Aww, is someone missing me?"

"A day apart feels like an eternity. O, formidable deer, you wouldn't let me tackle my troubles all by my lonesome self, would you?"

Though Dyadia looked at Yaria with big, pleading eyes, the corners of her mouth curled up in a mischievous smirk as she leaned in toward her downy antlers.

Already accustomed to Dyadia's exaggerated performances, Yaria perked up in anticipation of her latest scheme. Whatever it was, they would see it through together!

"Tomorrow, we'll head into the Marsh of Amnesia to deal with 'that guy' together."

"Aha, I got it. You mean my dear junior! We've got to be careful not to let my master..."

"Shhh..."

"Shhh... We can't let 'you know who,' the mightiest of all Spritefly Forest, know!"

Somewhere, both "you know who and "that guy" suddenly had a sneaking feeling that someone was talking about them.

Reminiscing in the Marsh of Amnesia[]

The first thing many will hear about the Marsh of Amnesia is that strangers are not welcome. However, acquaintances can enter anytime.

The latter half of that rule had been added by Dyadia, who was now sneaking into the marsh.

The first time she snuck into the Marsh, she ran into Augran of all people.

That was her first close encounter with her immediate superior. The High Priest was as cold as the rumors said, and he immediately began interrogating her on her presence in the Marsh.

Owing to her experience in getting out of tough situations from her time living as a street vendor, she quickly collected herself and confidently cooked up an excuse.

"Trespassing? No, no, I'm just here to report on my work thus far!"

To her surprise, Augran ate it up. He even stood there patiently listening to the "report" she spun up on the spot and made sure to interweave with lavish praise for the Order of the Seers. When she left the Marsh, she mused:

"They only say that 'strangers' aren't welcome. Sure, I was a stranger to them earlier today, but after all this we're basically friends! Surely, that means I can come and go as I please?"

Though she rationalized it so, Dyadia always made sure that she was sufficiently prepared, always bringing a compiled report as well as a copy of "Guide to an Actor's Development" along with her.

Strangely, she never bumped into Augran within the Marsh again.

This time was no exception.

Perhaps it was because she only ever lingered around the entrance. After all, no one was willing to disturb the souls residing deep within the Marsh of Amnesia.

Or maybe they were simply not fated to meet.

Satisfied with the conclusion she arrived at, Dyadia began making her way to the Pool of Shadows. Swinging on a vine, she landed on a branch with one clean, fluid motion, as if she had made this particular jump many times before.

She then sat down, watching the surface of the pool.

The second thing most people knew about the Marsh of Amnesia was that it can help people forget about their pasts.

Lying near the entrance of the Marsh of Amnesia, the Pool of Shadows could reflect memories that lay hidden deep within one's heart, forgotten to the conscious mind but not the soul. However, it was also said that if these memories were left in the pool for too long, they would slowly fade until they were forgotten completely, akin to a fallen leaf gradually losing its color.

Which of Dyadia's memories were reflected in the pool?

At times, it was the memories of her younger, lonely self, deemed a harbinger of misfortune and bullied by those around her. Other times it was when she failed to keep the promise to Qi during the Withering, when she was left with nothing but a burnt prayer plaque and a heart full of regret.

But more often than not, the memories that surfaced were ordinary ones: of when she had just arrived at the Forest Temple, where Qi couldn't stand to see her so lonely and followed her everywhere, even into corners where space was already tight; of when the young boy was worried about her making her way back to the temple in the dark, even though she couldn't be more comfortable in the deep night and he would always be the one getting fidgety and scared; of him asking her a million questions, though he'd always get the same silent response; of how Qi for the longest time even thought she was mute and tried to teach her how to speak, only getting bite marks in return for his troubles.

This time, the pool showed the two of them making promises they would be unable to keep. And as if trying to make up for lost time and words unspoken, Dyadia started prattling to the reflection.

First, she recounted the celebrated moment of becoming an apprentice mystic, barely failing the test by the High Priest.

Then, she started talking about how she worried that tensions between the Order of the Seers and the Omniscients were reaching a boiling point, and that the forest's peace could be short-lived. She did not wish to feel the regret brought about by death yet again.

She promised Qi that she would continue to work hard, and that as soon as she could inherit the power of the Priestess of Fate, she would have the strength to better protect the Misty Marshes.

"Will the Marsh of Amnesia really let me forget about the past?" She asked the reflection. Deep down, she hoped that it wasn't so.

The dead and the living were forever separated. Other than in this place, there was no trace in this world of the people who had passed.

What Dyadia didn't know was that her companion, whom she thought to be long dead, was actually standing among the trees behind her.

Dagger-axe in hand, the seer silently observed the figure of Dyadia from afar. He had to sever all ties, and suppress all emotions. But even though he could not acknowledge his childhood friend, that didn't mean he had forgotten about her.

Neither of them had.

Still perched on her branch, Dyadia had fallen into silence. She didn't expect a response from the images in the pool. It was as though she was once again that timid, lonely girl from the past.

The figure among the trees remained silent as well. He walked away in silence, seemingly a completely different person from that cheery young boy he once was.

Neither of them spoke a word.

The third thing people might know about the Marsh of Amnesia was that you could go there to ask about people you had lost, or simply to ask for directions.

"Hey, how do I get to the Misty City?"

A lone feather landed in the pool, disturbing the calm water surface.

An unfamiliar, red feather. Though it hadn't made a sound, its presence sent ripples through the water's surface, scattering the image reflected upon it.

Dyadia looked up, following the source of the voice. Ah, so she was not alone here at the Pool of Shadows.

The owner of the red feather smiled exaggeratedly.

Though the stranger was smiling, the smile seemed to portray neither joy nor friendliness. Rather, it looked as if it was part of a performance—one that the audience would not be able to leave until curtainfall.

Except, when their eyes met, this act seemed to falter for a split second.

"Aren't you...?"

Though wary of the newcomer's intentions, Dyadia felt a brief connection to the figure, a weak bond that was slowly flowing toward her and resonating with her.

"The apprentice mystic Dyadia. Yes, that's me."

"If you are asking for it, it reads: 'Donghuang City you seek, to the east it lies, Beyond the mist, under the skies.'"

Dyadia snapped out of her melancholy, quickly reverting to her business-like persona. In her mind, she tried to recall if she had broken character in front of her guest.

However, the stranger did not seem to care who she was anymore, as if Dyadia wasn't the one she had been looking for in the first place.

A raucous laugh rang through the marsh, followed by the winged figure taking off and flying eastward.

"Donghuang City? Hahaha... That's laughable. Hmm, no, amusing would be a better word."

The disturbance from the winged figure taking off had caused the pool surface to ripple, before quickly settling down to a calm once again.

It readily accepted all the feelings of all those who were reflected upon its surface, including the occasional by-products of these emotions, be it tears, sighs, or even feathers and scales.

The things that people claim to know about the Marsh of Amnesia might just all be baseless rumors.

However, the things that are left here, are as real as can be.

The Exclusive Bond Guidelines for Misty Marshes[]

The Mansion of Fate is constantly filled with all sorts of files and dockets. While it seems immensely disorganized, Dyadia claims that there is a system to the mess.

Even though the glib mystic is always able to eloquently rationalize away pretty much anything, there is some truth to her statement.

For example, her red wisp Cerise is always able to find her "Collection of Humorous Rhymes," which Dyadia has spent... Oh, wait, that's the "Bond Prophecy Compendium."

While other seers channel their powers through graceful hymns and elegant lyrics, Dyadia prefers to parse out her predictions in rhymes that have a slightly more down-to-earth style.

"Take your grudges and stick them in a jar. Turn around, and you'll both get far!" This was a line written for her elder and that traitorous seer, as well as the Order of the Seers and the Omniscients.

"Fear not the lonesome road ahead. Just tough it out, and your fame will spread!" This was for the dragon rejected by the Marsh of Amnesia as he tried to find his companions from the past.

"You can search all you like among the crowds, but the person you seek hides within the clouds." This is for the little deer that's "not searching for anyone, or any bird."

"Even bean sprouts know they need sunlight to grow. If you know where your light is, it's time to go!" This was written for the small fungus sprite from Spritefly Forest and the flower sprite from Donghuang City that had been pining for each other. Dyadia and her wisps worked tirelessly through the night, planting a red bean tree by Luster Lake, sowing a path of fresh beans bought from the market just in time to catch the first rays of sunlight, all for the couple to meet "by chance" under the tree.

The forest dwellers have always been pragmatic. As long as it brings about the intended results, who cares if it's through hymns or more... folksy forms of prose.

Unfortunately, her unconventional style gave birth to the rumors that "the messenger of fate is completely tone-deaf and can't hold a tune to save her life."

Also, her blue wisp Cyan would always be able to pick out her "Misty Marshes Bond Report," a compilation of their observations, collected information, and ultimately their evaluation of the bonds of the marsh's residents.

Within the report lies a well-worn and crumpled page, where the scores on both sides are heavily skewed in one direction.

The scores on the left column, marked by a drawing of a bird, seem to have been given with extreme reluctance. The scores clearly used to be all zeroes, but sixes have subsequently been added in front of them. In stark contrast, the right column, marked by a drawing of a deer, is filled with nothing but straight hundreds. The scores on this page seem to reflect some form of bias by the mystic who has always prided herself on being impartial and fair. Nonetheless, she has marked out a red line between the two, signifying that they are indeed meant to be.

To the weaver of fate, the most important criterion is that of the heart's desire.

As of now, this report only has one unsatisfactory entry, one relatively empty page.

At the top, is a crude drawing of a dagger-axe next to a marsh. As no one would dare approach the High Priest, information on him is scarce, save for the fact that he has a cold and aloof personality.

Both Cerise and Cyan are determined to fill this page by the end of the year, treating it as their ultimate work objective.

Finally in a hidden nook that only Dyadia knows of, lies half a prayer plaque, charred beyond recognition.

Only on rare days like these where the wisps are out frolicking in the rain, and only Dyadia is left in the entire mansion, will she pick it out of its hiding place. The "tone-deaf" apprentice mystic will then softly hum a tune that she learned from her days at the Forest Temple:

"Nothing is sadder than parting with loved ones; Nothing is happier than meeting new friends."

As if following the melody, the raindrops outside the mansion seem to slow down. As the prayer plaques outside the mansion clatter against each other in the wind, a figure emerges through the rain.

Dyadia immediately buries her gloomy feelings and plasters her signature smile on her face, waiting to hear the guest's request.

The figure, however, only stops for a moment before turning his back to leave.

"That silhouette... Could it be High Priest Augran? What is he doing here?"

"It can't be good. I'd better hide while I still can."

At this point in time, Dyadia has no idea that her attitude toward that detached superior is about to be completely flipped on its head.

From "someone to actively hide from", to "an opponent to face head-on", to "a person to try to get a read on."

The wisps enjoying their day out in the rain also do not expect that their goal for the year is about to be achieved in record time.

That blank page will soon be updated with information of epic proportions. In the days ahead, that page will also be continuously added to, updated, and annotated with tons of information.

And soon, that page will be expanded into an entire book. From the present, to the past. To the future.

  • The basic combo of Dyadia is 1-2-1.
  • Use Skill 1 Skill 1 to mark a teammate and Skill 2 Skill 2 to attack an enemy. Then use Skill 1 Skill 1 again to return to the teammate's position.

Advanced Combos[]

  • Escape + Heal + 2 Melodic Swing: 1 on an ally > 2 on a target hero > Melodic swing > Reactivate 2 (complete the 1 sec triggered root) > move away a little > 1 reactivated heal > Melodic swing (last part can be either the swing or the heal depending on the situation)
  • Short CC Combo (Bitter farewell focused): 2 first part on target > melodic swing > 2 trigger > move away a little > 2-3 AA > Melodic Swing
  • Max CC & DMG Combo (3 M.Swings & 2 Roots): 1 first part on ally > 2 first part on target > Melodic Swing > Destined Encounter (ULT) > 2 (trigger) > move away > Melodic swing > 1 trigger > Melodic Swing

Clash Max Heal + Chase: 1 on 2 Allies within close proximity of each other > Ult > (If 1 or more enemies are hit by the ULT and are marked with B.F and is not yet consumed proceed) > Melodic swing > 2nd on B.F marked target no. 1 > 2nd on B.F marked target no. 2 > Melodic swing

IMPORTANT REMINDER(s)/Tips: Your ULT should not be used for damage, lest you need to secure a kill. Primarily use it as a healing tool during clashes or for control/escape in combination with either HEARTLINK or BITTER FAREWELLS. Make sure to position well at the backline and utilize the two parts of Heartlink instead of mindlessly dashing to your allies.

Also, Dyadia's gameplan is to get a lead, so be AGGRESSIVE and ROAM as much as you can- but as the game progresses, slowly transition into a healer/enchanter gameplay as you get into mid to late game. focus on picking the enemy squishies most specifically the enemy Marksman or Mage.

During Hard matchups, use the first part of B.F on the enemy carry to poke and accumulate gold for your ult. If the lane is unwinnable, focus on roaming and getting picks but still occasionally returning to your ADC.
