Dolia is a Support hero in Honor of Kings.

Background[]

The merfolk have been using their songs to guard the ocean and maintain peace within the waters for millennia. The young mermaid Dolia was born deep below the waves, and she possesses enforcer ancestry. Ever since she was a child, she has had an enchanting singing voice, and her people believed that she had great potential. While searching for treasures in shipwrecks, she used her mermaid's song to help a human boy, Heino, who had been lost at sea. With that, she gained a "secret" human friend, and her fate became inextricably tied to Navenia's. However, the choices and bonds thrust upon them would put an abrupt end to their story... while also opening up a new chapter.

The merfolk of the deep sea had protected its peace and tranquility with their songs for thousands of years. The mermaid Dolia, who was descended from an Enforcer, was enthusiastic and cheerful, and had a singing voice that was sweet like no other. She was much loved by her grandmother, the high priestess of the clan, and the rest of her people, who looked up to her and expected great things from her. The little mermaid princess who loved to sing had to learn more and more difficult merfolk songs from the elders, and had little time to make real friends.

She made her first true friend when she was a child, after sneaking out to hunt for sunken treasures in the Misty Seas. A human boy and young master of the Fate Clan, Heino, had been shipwrecked, and Dolia used her song to rescue him. After that, Dolia would often sneak off to Navenia to play with little Heino. For Heino, who had lost his parents early in life, and for Dolia, a young mermaid with no friends, this childhood friendship became the most important thing in their lives.

One day, Navenia's annual fireworks celebration became threatened by the giant beasts under the sea which were roused by unexplained pollution. Having no other choice, in order to help Dolia find the legendary "Mermaid's Song" to repel these sea monsters, Heino used his ability to glimpse into fate and took Dolia many years into the future. There, where Heino had become an old man, they found the Mermaid's Song that was composed of memories of the two of them throughout their lives. Though unwilling, Dolia finally chose to sing the Mermaid's Song to soothe the beasts, even if it meant that singing it would cause them to forget about each other and their past and future together...

Following the crisis, Dolia fell unconscious and only came to after many days. When she did, she had the feeling that she had lost a very important memory, though she couldn't recall it no matter how much she tried. It was only when she caught sight of an odd yet strangely familiar sea snail bracelet that she decided to head to Navenia to find out the truth under the cover of her doting grandfather, who helped her hide it from her high priestess grandmother.

Dolia went to Navenia disguised as a human and ran into all sorts of troubles along the way. She finally encountered the one widely revered as the Son of Fate, Heino, who, despite her pestering, refused to help her with the truth she sought.

Guided by a witch who appeared in a market in Navenia as if from nowhere, Dolia hid herself in a wooden barrel on board the Red Hawk to travel to Coral Island in search of a treasure that could recover lost memories. Though she was soon found out by the Red Hawk's captain Alessio, as well as Mayene and Biron, she soon endeared herself to them, and they ran into Heino in the Misty Seas who was there to tackle the pollution plaguing Navenia. The group eventually solved the pollution problem, and thanks to this grand adventure, the group later returned to Navenia as close friends.

Despite the fact that Dolia and Heino (who, for some unknown reason, always looked a little familiar) continued to dislike each other, a special bond seemed to be quietly forming between them. No matter what, a new story will always follow the last...

Mermaid's Gift

Type: Passive

Dolia takes on mermaid form when in water (rivers are also considered water), reducing the slows taken by 50% and returning life and mana every second. The mermaid form's Basic Attacks will shoot water arrows for ranged damage. Dolia's [Recovery] is replaced with [Mermaid's Gift], which allows her to create a pact with a selected teammate, and prioritizes her pacted teammate when using [Celestial Melody].

Ode

Type: Active skill

Dolia chants 4 sound waves that spread outward, the first 3 dealing spell damage and 10% slow. The 4th deals more spell damage and 50% slow for 1 second. The sound waves also echo when they hit an enemy, dealing spell damage to those they touch and, if released in water, sending waves of water knocking back nearby enemies (knockback of enemies around you has a stun effect). Non-heroic units provoke a much smaller echo, dealing only 50% of the damage.

Wavebreaker

Type: Active skill

Dolia leaps forward into the air to take the form of a mermaid, if landing on the ground, Dolia will create a water area that restores life to nearby friendly heroes when it lands, and teammates can restore life and mana as well as Dolia while in the water area. Returns 30% cooldown if released in waters or jumped into waters. After Dolia leaves the waters she created for 4 seconds, the waters disappear.

Celestial Melody

Type: Ultimate

After Dolia briefly chants, refresh the skill with the longest current cooldown of a friendly within range, taking more cooldown from yourself. If a teammate's skill is not used after being refreshed, [Celestial Melody]'s cooldown recovery speed can be accelerated by 20/30/40%. Teammates do not consume Mana or Energy when using the skill for 5 seconds after the skill is refreshed, and the beatdown benefit caused by the skill is split equally with Dolia. Refreshing skills for contracted teammates is prioritized, followed by non-contracted teammates, or refreshing your own skills if there are no teammates nearby. Failure to refresh a skill returns most of the cooldown of [Celestial Melody].
