Angela is a Mage hero in Honor of Kings.

Background[]

When the mysterious mage Merlyn accidentally trapped herself in a bubble cage, she was forced to occupy the body of Angela, an unsuspecting passerby, in order to escape. Thus, it came to be that this innocent-looking girl is actually an archmage with the ability to wield powerful magic. However, the young Angela had long admired Arthur, the leader of the Knights of the Round Table. This emotion is still there, and it is so strong that Merlyn is finding it impossible to resist.

Merlyn was "once" one of the most mysterious mages on the continent. She bore a great mission—to assist the King and revive Eventide Cathedral.

Regrettably, "once" is the key word... because she'd made a grave mistake. That's right—she made a mistake when using a spell and accidentally trapped herself in a bubble cage! A cage which hung high on a big, old tree.

No one knew how many years passed in that bubble. She racked her brains to break out, but could do nothing more than throw her gadgets out of it while she stayed trapped inside. One day, she saw the child of a hunter passing by and inspiration came to her—to create an irresistible doll and throw it under the tree!

Soon, the little girl Angela found the doll. She picked it up and adored it right away. At that moment, the spell on the doll took effect. Soul Exchange!

Success! Merlyn could now leave the cage and enter the body of the little girl. But... she felt a little strange. Merlyn couldn't care less and wanted to leave the forest with her newfound body, so she cast a pathfinding spell. Perhaps she was concentrating too hard... but she never noticed the hand gently resting on her shoulder.

It was a kind-hearted paladin who had found the lost girl and wanted to take her home.

In an instant, Merlyn knew what the problem was. As soon as she saw him, she couldn't take her eyes off him, and her feet couldn't help but follow and do whatever he said with complete obedience.

This body must have always admired the paladin, and the admiration was so strong that Merlyn was unable to resist it.

Merlyn grew frantic. She didn't leave the cage just to fall in love with a frail human! She decided to get rid of him as soon as she returned to town.

Fortunately, the first passerby they met greeted the paladin and called him "Arthur."

Immediately, unpleasant memories of her dark history came flooding into the mind of the little girl. Merlyn... Oh wait, Angela now. Yes, she was known as the world's greatest and most righteous mage, but it was all a facade. In fact, she was just a loser. She was a genius who originally wanted to take over the world, but was cursed by fate to serve King Arthur, and was forced to assist in the revival of Eventide Cathedral.

Eventide Cathedral?! She was going to destroy it! She thought she was finally free after King Arthur's death, only to be trapped again by another mistake. Now, the curse of fate was once again in effect. The little girl's unrequited love made the paladin in front of her, also named Arthur, her new master. What bad luck!

As anger stripped away Angela's sanity, she summoned a huge fireball, and the paladin reacted swiftly by drawing his longsword. "Who are you?!" He asked warily.

"Please accept my loyalty. I am... Mage Angela. It's fate that we're reunited." The little girl's smile showed wisdom beyond her years, "My Lord..."

So what if I obey Arthur? In any case, I'm back and I want revenge. I want to take back my dignity and my confidence. "Knowledge equals power!"

Hurls a fireball at the target location that turns into a firestorm when it hitsan enemy or reaches its max range, slowing and dealing damage to nearbyenemies.Any enemy that is hit directly by the fireball is stunned.

Blazing Brilliance

Type: Ultimate

Channels a blazing beam in the target direction, dealing damage over timeGains a shield and immunity while the shield is active.
